Our Mission
Our philosophy is very simple; with everything we do for our clients, we ask the following questions:
How can we simplify our client’s lives, how can we make our clients’ lives better, how do we reduce or remove anything that could derail their plan?
By using this approach, we aim to put our focus on what is most essential for the success of our clients’ financial lives.

Gautier (aka Gaut) Wallaert, a seasoned financial professional with over 18 years of experience, is a founder and senior wealth advisor for Tenured Advisors. Gautier has worked at Bank of America, Fidelity Investments and, most recently, at TIAA. As a wealth management advisor, Gautier has built his career focusing on the well-being of his clients, with a passion for creating personal connections based on trust and service.
Before Tenured Advisors, Gautier spent 13 years as a highly ranked senior wealth management advisor at TIAA. He oversaw a portfolio of clients with over $1 billion in assets across ten states. In addition, he mentored and managed a team of wealth advisors and sales assistants to serve clients in many capacities, including financial planning, tax planning, income strategies for retirement, trust, estate, and intergenerational wealth transfer planning.
Always eager for the next challenge, Gautier seized the opportunity to fulfill his lifelong dream of starting his own business, creating Tenured Advisors. His vision for Tenured Advisors was to leverage his extensive experience at three highly respected companies by creating a more personalized and in-depth financial planning practice, offering his clients more tailored portfolio planning and top-notch white glove service.
Gautier has been married for 19 years to his wife Jessie, and they have three children: Henry (12), Isla (11), and Avery (8). When not at work, Gautier enjoys anything that gets him into the outdoors, whether that’s skiing, mountain biking and boating with family and friends.
Gautier received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Bates College and received an MBA with a focus in finance from the University of New Hampshire. A CFP holder, Gautier has a well-rounded background to help clients with many different financial challenges.
Kevin Flaherty, a dedicated financial planner with 25 years of experience, is a founder and Senior Wealth Advisor for Tenured Advisors. Kevin worked at TIAA, AIG, and most recently at the Foundry Financial Group.
Prior to helping launch Tenured Advisors, Kevin was at the Foundry Financial Group where he began to hone his vision of an ideal practice built for academics. The core principles include clear, concise plain English advice where education is central. Kevin has deep knowledge of academic retirements plans especially focused on withdrawal strategies. A disciplined planning approach built around the academic year that includes a spring semester and fall semester review.
Kevin worked for TIAA for twenty years which included a unique combination of both institutional retirement and benefit plan administration and individual wealth management advice.
On the institutional side of the business Kevin managed billion-dollar relationships with Dartmouth, UNH, UVM, UMS, URI and UMASS. However, he realized his passion was working with individual clients. That realization led him to switch to individual wealth management in 2007.
Over the last fifteen years, Kevin has worked with hundreds of clients into and through retirement providing comprehensive planning for numerous clients from the institutions above as well as Boston University, Boston College, Tufts and many of the best institutions around Boston and Northern New England.
Kevin is married to Mary and they have three children, Will, Nora and Finn and a cockapoo named Sunny. Kevin and his family live in Reading, MA.
Kevin has coached over twenty-five youth sport seasons (basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse) and enjoys golf, basketball, cooking, live music and doing anything with the family especially travel.
Kevin received his Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Saint Michael’s College and received an MBA with a focus on entrepreneurship from Babson College. Kevin has held the CFP designation since 2001.
Chad Fitzpatrick’s journey in finance began with his recruitment by T. Rowe Price straight out of college nearly two decades ago. There, he honed his skills as a licensed investment counselor for seven years before finding further success as a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA in New England for over a decade.
Originally from Vermont, Chad’s story takes on added resonance. Despite leaving his hometown for college, he returned to his roots when it came time to start a family. Opting to settle back in Vermont, Chad and his family built their home in his childhood town, showcasing his deep commitment to his origins and cherished relationships.
Throughout his career, Chad developed a profound appreciation for balance and connection, both with his clients and his family. Having served over 1,000 clients and managed assets exceeding $1 billion, Chad made a pivotal choice to redirect his career trajectory. Seeking a more personalized approach to financial planning, he joined Tenured Advisors, aiming to devote more time and attention to a select group of clients.
This transition enabled Chad to enhance the client experience and prioritize quality over quantity. With a hands-on approach, Chad guides his clients through every step of their financial journey, empowering them to pursue their goals confidently.
As a key member of the Tenured Advisor team, Chad advocates for his clients, supporting them through every aspect of their financial decisions. Whether collaborating with legal and tax professionals or facilitating multigenerational family discussions, Chad’s expertise shines through. With nearly two decades of financial experience, he excels at simplifying complex concepts, ensuring his clients feel informed and empowered.
Beyond his professional pursuits, Chad finds fulfillment in his family life. A decade ago, he and his high-school sweetheart, Elisia, exchanged vows in the charming setting of Positano, Italy, marking the beginning of their shared adventures. Elisia, a CPA at a local Vermont firm, complements Chad’s professional endeavors with her expertise. Together, they nurture their seven-year-old twins, Owen and Olivia, alongside their beloved canine companions, Gus and Walter.
Annie brings a decade of experience in financial services to Tenured Advisors most recently with TIAA Trust Company as a Senior Trust Administrator to many of the firm’s largest client and family relationships. Her ability to navigate the complexities of estate planning, charitable giving and financial planning while recognizing the unique and personal challenges that all families face makes her an invaluable team member.
During her time at TIAA, working with high-net-worth academics, medical professionals and their families, Annie was known by clients and colleagues alike for her client focused approach, always striving to exceed her client’s expectations and build lasting personal relationships. Recognizing the same philosophy at Tenured Advisors and having partnered with this team at her prior firm she was thrilled to join Gaut, Kevin and Chad as Director of Client Service.
As someone whose life was profoundly impacted by her own education, Annie appreciates Tenured Advisors’ clients, who are passionate about their field of study and committed to sharing their knowledge and mentoring the next generation. In much the same way that she helps her clients feel at ease financially the relationships she has formed with them have enriched her own life as well.
Annie never imagined she would end up working in the financial services industry, as she worked for Head Start for the first chapter of her career. When Annie made a leap to work in finance ten years ago she took an entry level position with TIAA and quickly realized that working in finance she could still help people, the kind of people she admired (teachers, professors, doctors), while also carving her own career path. She soon found she enjoyed the world of finance more than she could’ve imagined, as she was constantly learning and having to adapt while also meeting some of the most interesting, smart and caring people she had ever met.
Annie continues to support and volunteer with organizations and individuals committed to ensuring all kids and young adults have equitable access to resources and opportunities. She recently connected with FabNewport, an experiential learning organization serving 11–19 year-olds in Newport County and is excited about how she can help them in their mission.
Annie holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Rhode Island and has completed Trust I with Cannon Financial, the first level of
the Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor designation. She lives in Middletown, RI with her husband Bill and they have four children: Trent, Troy, Caroline and Maggie and two dogs, Russell and Chase. In her free time Annie enjoys running, training for the next half marathon, beach days, reading, and spending time with her family and close friends.
